As a program dedicated to Hindu life and culture at one of the nation’s premier institutions of higher education, HLP is committed to fostering rich engagement with the study of Hinduism. We are especially interested in:
- The ways in which appreciating the academic study of the faith can inform the life of the practitioner;
- How the experience of the insider can enrich an academician’s scholarship;
- How the practitioner-scholar (or scholarly practitioner) can harmonize academic and lived faith perspectives in their own work and practice.
