The Shiva Sutras
Tantra, Energy, and Consciousness
Swami Maheshananda Saraswati
Thursday, October 13 at 6pm
Murray Dodge Hall, rm. 104
While many Hindu wisdom teachings emphasize detachment from the world, the framework of Tantra approaches spirituality by teaching us to engaging with the energy around us. In this engaging talk by Swami Maheshananda Saraswati of India, we will explore the Shiva Sutras, the seminal textbook of Hinduism’s mystical Kashmir Shaivism tradition. Swami Ji will present principles and teachings designed to bridge the gap between the spiritual and material dimensions of reality, encouraging us to live a rich and fulfilling life full of creativity and inner joy.
A vegetarian dinner follows the talk, generously sponsored by Princeton Yoga Therapy and Ananya Andrea Sacchetti.
The talk is in person, and is open to all who are fully vaccinated and not experiencing Covid symptoms. Although masks are not required, we respect your decision to wear one if you would like to.
